Galway is the third largest and the fastest growing city in Ireland (population 75,000), and the only city in the province of Connacht. It is located on the west coast of Ireland.
Galway is nicknamed the City of the Tribes and is renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals including Galway Arts Festival, Galway Races, Oyster Festival and Galway Film Fleadh. It has a reputation for being associated with the Irish language, music, song and dancing traditions and has a wealth of culture to explore.
The city contains many historical points of interest including: St Nicholas Church, Nora Barnacle House, Galway City Museum, John F Kennedy Park (Eyre Square), the Claddagh Ring, Spanish Arch, the old wall of Galway and Lynch's Castle.
