Galway is a city that is famous for it atmosphere and it's selection of great pubs and bars providing the legendary Irish "craic".  If you are looking for tips from the locals our friendly team will always be willing to point youin the right direction, whether you are looking for classy cocktails, and authentic Irish pub or to dance the night away in one of the local hot-spots.

Shopping

Galway City boasts an incredible selection of shops from High Street brands to up-market Boutiques.  Our Front Desk will be able to supply you with a local area map on arrival and help you to find the hidden gems tucked away on the ancient cobbled streets. 

Sports

If you are in any way interested in Sports then you will love Galway. You can watch Connaught Rugby Team at the local sports ground just minutes from the hotel. Galway also has Senior Hurling and Gaelic Football Teams so if you'd like to find out more about these ancient Irish games then what better way than to embrace the Galway Colours of Maroon and White and watch our teams bring home the silverware!

Events

Galway is a vibrant city which plays host to numerous annual festivals and events including the Galway International Arts Festival, the Galway Seafood & Oyster Festival and, of course, we are home to the world-famous Galway Races.  For more information see our Festivals page.

Activities

What better way to pass a few hours that to try some of the many activities on offer in Galway. You can do anything from horse riding on the beach to sailing on beautiful Galway Bay.  See our Activities page for more ideas.

Sightseeing

One of the main reasons people come to the west of Ireland is to visit the breathtaking landscape of Connemarra and the historic culture of Galway City.  Bus and walking tours are available to allow you to make the most of your visit or,if you are travelling by car, why not check out the Wild Atlantic Way?
